Installing Roadrunner Cab-Link is a great asset to vehicle security. Each driver is allocated their own individual Roadrunner card which has to be inserted into the Cab-Link system at the beginning of the shift, or when moving from vehicle to vehicle. This card both activates the computer system and records individual driving hours, work and rest periods. Additionally it can also immobilise the engine, without it the vehicle stays where it is. If the driver mislays the card, the ignition can only be mobilised via a data call from head-office, or the driver’s over-ride key.
